Ipswich: Man wanted in connection with robbery

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man who committed a robbery at an Ipswich newsagents.

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man who committed a robbery at an Ipswich newsagents.

The man, who was brandishing a knife, threatened shop staff and demanded cash at the Grimwade Street store just after 9pm last night.

He fled with a haul including cash, alcohol and cigarettes.

The man is also being linked to another robbery, which happened at 7pm, at a newsagents in St Helens Street where the shop owner was threatened at knifepoint. The suspect escaped with cash.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 6ins tall, aged between 20 and 25 and had a tattoo on the back of his right hand.

He was wearing a black hooded top.
