Join in the celebrations on Orton Square – just in front of Curve for a magical experience for people of all ages.
Christmas will be coming to the Cultural Quarter! A real Christmas tree will adorn the square, with an ice sculpture winter scene. Children and adults alike will watch in wonder at Bjorn the polar bear with his blinking eyes, sniffing nose, opening mouth and live sounds! Bjorn is incredibly life-like, playful and interactive - a must see. Bjorn will be accompanied by his polar bear herders dressed in Inuit-style fur costume. Joining Bjorn will be Leicester Sound’s breakfast crew Damien and Naomi who will help him to switch on the Christmas tree lights. The Leicester Sound Thunders will also be there offering face painting in Curve’s café area. Get in the Christmas spirit with warm roast chestnuts, and sing along to festive songs with the De Montfort University choir.
