The new Wells Sports Foundation has just started providing grants to sports clubs and schools to help
fund projects that will increase participation in sport by young people both now and in the future. Grants
can be for up to £2,000 and are available across England, Scotland and Wales. The Sports Grants
Scheme is looking to fund projects which support the development and sustainability of sports clubs.
This might include projects that need equipment that is specifically focused on increasing participation,
CRB’s for volunteers, coaching qualifications and umpiring courses. A FAQ can be downloaded at
