Position Summary:
To design, implement and test real time embedded control electronics for the Polatis range of photonic switch products.
Principal Duties:
* Design and development of electronic hardware.
* Integration, testing, faultfinding and repair of hardware and systems.
* Preparation of design documentation to support development activities.
* Support of other design aspects during the product development lifecycle.
Candidate Profile:
* Degree qualified in Electronic or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
* At least 3 years industrial experience, preferably in a telecomms environment, with a proven record of delivering complex projects on time.
* Knowledge of one or more of the following: real time embedded control systems, FPGA design (VHDL/Xilinx), high speed digital signal processing, schematic & pcb design, test programming (LabVIEW) & analysis.
* Evidence of strong practical skills .
* Very good English language.
